FlintPOS ("FlintPOS," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you access or use the FlintPOS cloud platform, FlintPOS Local app, customer portal, payment pages, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

FlintPOS is designed for business use. If you use FlintPOS on behalf of a company, store, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to provide information to us and to connect third-party services on behalf of that organization.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services, including:

Account Information

Business Records

Customer Portal and Payment Page Information

Device and Usage Information

Integration Information

2. QuickBooks Online and Accounting Data

If you connect QuickBooks Online, FlintPOS uses OAuth authorization to access the QuickBooks company you select. We may process QuickBooks realm IDs, OAuth access tokens, OAuth refresh tokens, token expiration data, accounting account mappings, customers, items, invoices, sales receipts, payments, credit memos, refunds, tax information, and related accounting records.

We use QuickBooks data only to provide the accounting integration you enable, including syncing FlintPOS orders, products, customers, payments, credits, tax information, inventory quantities, and related accounting details between FlintPOS and QuickBooks Online.

We do not sell QuickBooks data. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising. We do not access a QuickBooks company unless an authorized user connects it or otherwise authorizes the integration.

You can disconnect QuickBooks Online from FlintPOS settings. Disconnecting stops new syncing but does not automatically delete records already synced into FlintPOS or QuickBooks.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide and support the Services, including with:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Payment Information

Payment card, ACH, and related payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Square, NMI, FluidPay, or other processors you configure. FlintPOS may store payment status, transaction IDs, processor response summaries, authorization details, last four digits, card brand, vault references, evidence records, and related payment metadata, but full card numbers are handled by the applicable payment provider.

Your use of payment integrations is also governed by the payment provider's terms and privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, support your account, maintain backups, preserve audit records, comply with legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect security.

Because FlintPOS stores business records such as sales, inventory, delivery, payment, and accounting data, retention periods may vary depending on account settings, legal needs, backup cycles, support needs, and operational requirements.

You are responsible for exporting business data you need to keep before terminating or deleting an account when export tools are available.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, credential protection, audit logs, monitoring, backups, and least-privilege operational practices.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for using strong passwords, limiting user access, protecting devices, configuring permissions correctly, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and relationship to the data, you may be able to request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or other action regarding certain personal information. Business records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, tax, security, backup, or operational reasons.

To make a privacy request, contact support@flintpos.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

FlintPOS may use cookies, local storage, session storage, tokens, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember settings, secure sessions, route tenant access, prevent fraud, and improve reliability. Disabling these technologies may prevent parts of the Services from working.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. International Use
