Schedule repeat office work

Use an automation to send a report, statement, or reminder on a set schedule. Choose the task, who should receive it, and when it should run.

Where to find it

Open Settings > Automations. Existing automations appear in a list with their enabled state, schedule, and edit or delete controls.

Product locationSettings > Automations

Before you start

Use an admin or manager account with access to this setting. Set up email in Communications. Check the email address and store time zone before you send anything.

Set up a repeat task

  1. Open Settings > Automations. Choose New.
  2. Enter a clear Name. Add a Note if staff need more detail.
  3. Choose the Action. For a report, choose Report and Report Period.
  4. Enter Recipient Email. Check the address.
  5. Choose how often to run, the day, and the time. For billing work, check the cycle close day and reminder delay.
  6. Choose Save Automation. Review the next run, then enable it.
  7. Use Run Now only when you are ready to send a real one-time result. Use Edit to change the task or Delete to remove it.

Troubleshooting

  • If an automation does not run, check that it is enabled, the schedule is valid, and the store time zone is correct.
  • If an email is not received, test Communications and confirm the email address.
  • If a report is empty, review its period and whether allowed records exist for that period.
  • If a reminder is sent too early or late, review both its cadence and days-after-due-date value.
