Customer Display Pairing

Purpose

Customer Display Pairing makes a link for one register. Use it to show that register's cart on a second screen.

Where to find it

An admin can open Settings > Store Info and find Customer Display Pairing.

Prerequisites and availability

The register must be registered and open in FlintPOS. Use an admin account on that same workstation to make the link. Keep the customer screen separate from the register.

Setup and operating steps

1. On the register, open Settings > Store Info.
2. Find Customer Display Pairing. Check that the QR code and link appear.
3. Select Open Display to open a screen here, or select Copy URL and open the link on the customer screen. You can also scan the QR code.
4. Leave the customer screen open. Its link is tied to this register.
5. Add an item on the register and check that the same item and total show on the second screen.
6. If you move the screen to another register, make a new link there.

Field reference

Expected results

The second screen shows the cart for this register. Customers can see items and totals without using the register. Each counter needs its own link: if a display moves from Register 1 to Register 2, create the link from Register 2 and replace the old one. The old link still follows Register 1.

Troubleshooting

• If no link or QR code appears, first register this workstation in Register Setup.
• If the screen opens with no cart, check that this register is open, then refresh the second screen.
• If the screen shows another counter's cart, make a new link on the right register and replace the old link.
• If Open Display does not work, use Copy URL on the second screen.
