Purpose

Customer Display lets a customer see items and totals on a second screen while you ring up the sale.

Where to find it

Open /customer-display on the customer screen. An admin pairs that screen from Settings > Store Info > Customer Display Pairing.

Product locationCustomer Display > Select workstation

Prerequisites and availability

Use a screen or browser separate from the register. The register must be set up and open. Pair each screen to the register the customer should see.

Setup and operating steps

  1. On the register, open Settings > Store Info > Customer Display Pairing.
  2. Select Open Display to open it here, or select Copy URL to use another screen. You can also scan the QR code.
  3. Leave the customer display open during checkout.
  4. Add an item on the register. Check that the screen shows the right item, price, tax, and total.
  5. Finish or clear the sale. Check that the old cart no longer appears.

Expected results

The screen follows the paired register's cart. It shows items and totals, then clears when the sale ends. For example, when staff add a second item or change a quantity, the customer can check the updated cart on the second screen. The display shows the cart; staff still make changes and take payment at the register.

Troubleshooting

  • If the screen does not open, make a new link from Customer Display Pairing and try again.
  • If it shows the wrong cart, pair it again from the right register. Each link is for one workstation.
  • If the screen stops changing, refresh it and check that the register is still open.
  • If the register says it must be registered first, ask an admin to set it up in Register Setup.
