Purpose
Driver Schedule records when drivers are available, their break time, and the delivery location they serve. Dispatch Pro uses these saved shifts to plan work, even when your business does not use FlintPOS Time Clock.
Where to find it
- Open Settings.
- Choose Driver Schedule.
- Use Schedule Date or the calendar to select the day. Use Copy for recurring schedules or Add Shift for a new shift.
Product locationSettings > Driver Schedule
Prerequisites and availability
- An admin or manager with access to the Driver Schedule settings can add, edit, copy, and remove shifts.
- Drivers are managed in Users. Only a selected driver can receive a shift.
- A driver assigned to a fixed inventory location cannot be moved to a different location in the shift form. A driver without a fixed location can be assigned to a delivery origin or left Floating.
- At least one active delivery origin is needed for a location-specific shift. When no shift exists for a date, dispatch can remain truck-budget based.
- Driver and truck qualifications are set in their own profiles. A shift does not make a driver qualified for a truck or trailer.
Setup and operating steps
- Choose the date to schedule and review the driver count and total available time.
- Select Add Shift. Choose the driver, date, start time, end time, and break minutes.
- For a floating driver, choose a Dispatch Location or leave it Floating. For a driver fixed to a user location, confirm the displayed location.
- Add a note if dispatchers need context, then choose Save. The Driver field is required.
- For recurring work, choose Copy, choose Day, Week, or Month, select the source date and targets, choose whether filled target days are skipped or replaced, and submit the copy.
- Review the calendar and shift list for the target dates. Then recheck a Dispatch Pro recommendation so the planned route uses the new driver time.
Use driver shifts to plan delivery work
- Save a shift for each driver, date, and delivery location.
- Make sure the driver is qualified for the powered truck and any trailer in the plan.
- Open the delivery schedule and check that the load fits the driver's shift and the customer's delivery window.
- Review the driver-time preview before saving the schedule. Recheck the board when a shift changes.
A saved shift is a planning schedule. It does not clock a driver in or out, track attendance, or create a payroll record. Time Clock punches do not add or remove Dispatch Pro shifts. If no shift applies, the board shows No driver shifts; this does not mean the driver has unlimited time.
Copy a schedule
Day copies one source day to selected weekdays. Week copies a week into the month workflow. Month copies the source month into future months. Future Months accepts 1–12 months.
Skip keeps shifts already present on a target day. Replace replaces the target day’s copied shifts. The result reports how many shifts and dates were copied and how many dates were skipped.

Expected results
The selected date shows scheduled drivers, total driver time, location, break, available minutes, and notes. Dispatch Pro uses those minutes to check whether each delivery fits the driver and the requested time window. A shift does not replace the driver's truck or trailer qualifications.
Troubleshooting
- Driver is unavailable in the shift form: confirm the driver exists in Users and is active.
- Location cannot be changed: the driver is fixed to the location on the user account. Edit that account’s assignment if the driver should float.
- Copy reports skipped dates: review the Filled Target Days choice. Use Replace only when existing target shifts should be overwritten.
- Dispatch ignores the shift: verify the delivery origin, date, driver qualification, and in-service truck all match the plan.
