Purpose
Use Tablet POS to open a register, build an order, collect an available payment, and review saved orders. Choose what to print before sending a job to a physical POS.
Where to find it
- Open Tablet POS and sign in.
- Choose an available register or pair the tablet with the correct register.
- Choose New Sale to start a cart. Open Orders or Reports to review saved work.
Product locationTablet POS > Register selection > New Sale
Before you start
- You need Tablet POS access, an open register, and a valid inventory location.
- Available payments depend on the register setup.
- Allow camera, barcode, or device location only when you need that tool. Check the sale location before you review tax.
Choose the register for the counter where the sale is happening before you add products. The register sets the working location and available payment methods. For example, using the yard register at the front counter can use the wrong stock location or tax location.
Make a sale on the tablet
- Sign in, choose the correct register, and select Use and Open Tablet Register. Check the register name and location before starting.
- Start a new sale. Scan or search for products, check each unit and quantity, and attach the customer when needed.
- Review the sale location, customer price, tax, delivery or pickup details, and amount due. See Point of Sale for sale types and mixed fulfillment.
- Choose a payment the register offers and complete the prompt. If the result is unclear, open the order and check its payment history before trying again.
- After the order completes, choose the receipt or slip you need, select a physical POS, and press Send. Choose Browser Print to use the browser's print dialog. Choose New Sale to continue without printing.
- Open Orders to check the saved order or Reports to review activity. Use the Inventory tools for product changes and stock adjustments.
- Pair with a different register only when the tablet should work at another station. Sign out or switch to Desktop when you finish.
Closing or dismissing the print choices sends no job. An empty choice and New Sale also print nothing.

Troubleshooting
- Register will not open: refresh the list, choose an available register, and check your access.
- Tax location is wrong: fix the sale location before payment. Review the new total.
- Payment is missing or unclear: check the order and payment history before another charge.
- Nothing printed: choose a document and ready POS, then press Send. Check that the desktop app and printer are online.
- The order changed while loading: use the retry shown. Review the new items and total before you continue.
