Before you start
- Sign in with your own staff account.
- Your role sets which tools you see. Ask an admin if a tool you need is missing.
- Your location access sets which yards you can choose.
Steps to follow
- Expand or collapse the navigation panel to reach the feature you need.
- Choose Working location when the current location should change. The control is not available while locations load.
- Use the notifications button to refresh, open, dismiss, or mark payment notifications read.
- Open the assistant, send a starter prompt or question, and close it when finished. Keep customer-specific decisions in the feature workflow that owns them.
- Use the confirmation dialog’s Confirm action only after reviewing the requested change.
- Use subscription controls only for billing checkout. Sign out from the workspace menu when leaving the workstation.
What changed since the last wiki update
These guides cover the store changes shipped through October 16, 2026. Open the linked guide for the steps and any limits that apply to your account.
Products, prices, and customers
- Price books and order pricing: use a manager-approved tier for one order. Automatic alternate-unit prices use the matching base-unit price.
- Quantity offers: set volume prices and allowed buy-one offers.
- Product records: open product tabs and build recipes from parts. Fix a repeated SKU or barcode before saving. Leave weight or volume blank when allowed.
- Customer records: add your own fields, manage tax documents, and keep account history together.
Orders, payments, and printing
- Order choices: save a quote, mix pickup now, Future Will Call, and delivery, and replace material on an allowed paid order.
- Payment corrections: edit allowed manual amounts, remove a wrong entry, or refund a payment. A zero-total order can finish without a payment.
- Payment recovery: check a card charge or canceled reader request before trying again. Make sure the first charge did not go through.
- Readers and registers: manage named readers by location and resolve a workstation conflict.
- Automatic printing: print the paid-sale receipt once. Route fulfillment slips to the right yard and print delivery paperwork by load.
Delivery planning and yard work
- Dispatch board: view several days, filter work, see delivery windows beside ETA, and review late trips.
- Loader work: view pickup, Will Call, delivery, and carrier work. Scan order and product barcodes and record partial progress.
- Delivery choices: plan flexible date windows, separate picked-up goods from truck loads, and keep orders open while work remains.
- Outside carriers: choose a carrier or broker. Set the customer fee, or mark the rate as unknown when offered.
- Trip planning: recalculate for the chosen truck, review stock and route at each origin, and optimize stops within paired trips.
- Truck setup: set service areas, highway choices, future downtime, and date-based booking limits.
- Driver availability: plan work from driver shifts and the trucks each driver can use. A driver does not need to clock in for this plan.
- Driver app: start with a default truck, find orders, and record each load's progress.
- Delivery fees: set zone overage rates and review truck and per-load charges.
Office and accounting
- Multiple yards: keep sale, payment, pickup, and delivery locations clear. A paperless yard can use digital work.
- QuickBooks: use guided matching and one automatic-sync setting. Review account setup, supported profile sync, and any failed FlintPOS-to-QuickBooks exports. Manage orders, payments, refunds, bills, and stock in FlintPOS.
- Alternate units in QuickBooks: use base units for stock and product cost while keeping the customer's selling quantity.
- Order email history: search by customer or order. New invoice emails use the store name and ready payment options.
- Statements and batches: review separate orders together without combining invoices. Check each email result.
- Time Clock: choose weekly, two-week, or custom pay periods and review hours in the store time zone.
- TaxJar refunds: check a pending or failed sync. Keep the first refund and fix its sync rather than sending the money again.
Role and working yard
Your role controls which tools and actions you can use. Your location access controls which yards you can work in. For example, a manager limited to East Yard cannot change a West Yard order. An admin or manager with access to all active locations can open the All Locations view, but that view is read-only. Choose a physical yard before you save a sale, change stock, or release goods.

Check where you are working
The chosen page opens and the current yard stays in view. Before you save a sale, move stock, or release goods, check that yard again. A notice by itself does not finish the work it describes.
Troubleshooting
- A menu item is missing: confirm the account role and enabled add-on.
- Working location cannot change: wait for loading to finish or ask an admin to grant location access.
- A notification action fails: refresh notifications and retry from the notification detail.
